Gatorade convocó a varios ciclistas del país a que participaran en el Team Gatorade “Alto de Letras” que tendrá el reto de enfrentar esta mítica parada del ciclismo profesional y aficionado de Colombia este 25 de julio.
Los ciclistas que se inscribieron a la iniciativa han recibido previo a la jornada, una serie de charlas desarrolladas por nutricionistas con el ánimo de derribar todos los mitos que hay sobre el Alto de Letras, y conocer cómo se tiene que enfrentar adecuadamente desde la hidratación y la alimentación.
“Rompiendo mitos de hidratación y alimentación en el ciclismo, fueron algunas de las temáticas que abordamos en las sesiones de formación. Quisimos entregar a los participantes de la iniciativa Team Gatorade los insumos y herramientas necesarios para que afronten este reto deportivo con la mejor tecnología de hidratación que existe hoy en día”, afirma Liliana Orozco líder de Mercadeo deportivo de Gatorade.
María Luisa Calle, Óscar Sevilla, Tito Hernández y Fabio Duarte serán los gregarios de la jornada, y estarán compartiendo con los participantes sus aprendizajes y experiencias en este deporte tan exigente y apasionante.
Esta carrera tiene el objetivo de demostrar la ciencia detrás de la nutrición deportiva y la importancia de la hidratación, por esto se tendrán puntos cada 10 km. En el kilómetro 50, durante la cuesta final, se tendrá una zona de alimentación e hidratación donde los ciclistas se recargarán en su camino a la grandeza para avanzar en los últimos kilómetros y arribar al Ato de Letras.
